James E. Nazzaro
Born April 11, 1925 in Saugatuck, CT; died March 11, 2011 in The Villages, FL. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church and the Visual Arts Association. He moved to The Villages from Coral Springs, FL in 1997. He proudly served our country during World War II in the 38th Infantry, 2nd Division, and was a Purple Heart recipient for his service during the Normandy Invasion.
He was a graduate of Parsons School of Design; a graphic arts designer; and owner of Nazzaro Advertising Associates, in Coral Springs until he retired in 1996. He enjoyed golf, photography, reading and art.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Phyllis SantaLucia Nazzaro of The Villages, FL; sons, Larry of The Villages, FL, Ron of Franklin County, TN, and Jimmy of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Michaela of South Bend, IN; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister.
Memorial service will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church 10:00a.m., Friday, March 18, 2011. Inurnment service will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Visual Arts Association Scholarship Fund, or Operation Shoebox, The Villages, FL.
