Obituary of John Joseph Bittner

BITTNER, JOHN JOSEPH, 92 Ocklawaha - John Joseph Bittner, 92, died at Tuscany Hospice House on Friday, March 18, 2011. He was born in West Moreland City, PA and moved to this area from North Miami Beach, FL in 1967. He was a member of Weirsdale Presbyterian Church where he served as a past deacon, sang in the choir and played choir chimes. He was a past Royal Patron of the Order of the Amaranth and past Master Belleview Lodge F & AM 95. He was a manager of a convenience store and enjoyed fishing and family reunions. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Bittner, Ocklawaha; sons, Harold J. Bittner, Mesa, AZ and Ronald E. Bittner, Sr., East Palistine, OH; and daughter in law Jolene Bittner Walker of Girard OH, and her son Ronnie Bittner, Jr. of NV; sisters, Amy Ruth Rutter, Brooksville, FL and Shirley May Wilson, Springfield, OH, many grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 6 PM, Friday, March 25, 2011 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview with Rev. Terry Robertson officiating and Masonic funeral rites to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
