Obituary of David Graham
David Herbert Graham, 72, of Ocala went to be with his Savior on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the Tuscany House Hospice in Summerfield. He was born on March 20, 1939 in Kenton, Ohio. He was the son of Herbert Neff and Helen Naomi Williamson Graham.
David had been an ordained minister in the Christian Church for over 50 years and had served congregations in Indiana, Kentucky, and Florida.
Mr. Graham was the Director of Public Welfare in Wabash County, Indiana for 13 years before moving to Ocala in June of 1983. He was the first full time administrator of the Arnett House for 10 years before moving to Munroe Regional Medical Center where he served as a Social Worker. He was an avid reader and loved the Lord and his family.
David is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sheryl Knable-Graham, and five children: Scott Graham of Nashville, TN; Kim James of Logansport, IN; Jennifer Minkler of Swanton, VT; Bryan Graham of Brownwood, TX; and Daniel Graham of Summerfield. He has two sisters: Sharon Carter of Ocala and Berti Huffschmidt of La Fontaine, IN; and a brother, Larry Graham of Tallahassee. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren that he adored.
David was a 44 year member of the Masonic Lodge 31, in Wabash, IN.
His viewing will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home on Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala on Friday, April 1st from 5:00 until 8:00. There will be a Masonic Ceremony held at 7:00. The homecoming celebration will be held a Christ's Church of Marion County located at 6768 SW 80th Street, Ocala, FL at 2:00 PM on Saturday. A private graveside service will follow.
