Obituary of Russell R. Smith

SMITH, RUSSELL R. Ocala - Russell R. Smith, 52, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Wilmington, DE and moved to Ocala in the early 1980's from San Antonio, TX. He enjoyed wildlife rehabilitation, music, making Native American flutes and jewelry, buying and selling guitars, the Gators, NASCAR and golf. Russell served his country in the Army and the Air Force. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Caton Smith, his loving daughters, Camryn and Ariana Smith, his mother, Jean Smith, his sister, Lisa Smith all of Ocala, his brothers, Scott and Michael Smith, his cousin, Karl (Jenny) Shearer of Ocala, his mother in law and father in law, Pamela and Daniel Caton of Lantana and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Robert C. Smith in Jan. 2011 and his sister, Kerry Ann English in 1993. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala.
