Obituary of Robert Joseph Crouse

THE VILLAGES — Robert J. Crouse, 71, died Tuesday April 5, 2011. Mr. Crouse was born in Grand Haven, Mich., and moved to The Villages from Atlanta, Ga., in 2006. He was an educator of the blind; member of Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages; Lions Club; NIB board member; Little League coach; and his hobbies were vintage car restoration, youth sports coaching and he was an Atlanta Braves fan. Survivors include his wife, Maxine; sons Joseph, Atlanta, Eric, Portland, Maine; daughter, Elizabeth Crouse, Atlanta; sisters Fran Barbrick, The Villages, Joan Neigebauer, Rockford, Mich.; brothers Joel, Spring Lake, Mich., and Bill, Coopersville, Mich. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Iris Network, 189 Park Ave., Portland, ME 04102. Arrangements are by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services-The Villages. .
