Obituary of Charles Donald Fredricksen

THE VILLAGES — Charles D. Fredricksen, 75, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Mr. Fredricksen was born in Washington, D.C., and moved to The Villages from Daytona Beach in 2001. He was a retired union elevator mechanic; had hobbies including golf, bowling, visiting the Hard Rock Casino; and was an avid football and golf fan. Survivors include his companion, Liz Bell; sons, Chris, Orlando, and Jimmy Daras, Fredericksburg, Va.; daughters, Beth Greene, Port Orange, and Cindy Mabry, Georgia; sister, Margie Liebrich-Scheer, Delaware; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sumter County Humane Society. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, is in charge of arrangements.
