Obituary of Warren Patterson

Patterson, Warren Ocala - Warren Patterson was born on March 8, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. At seventeen he joined the Navy where he received medical training; he then was transferred to the Marines where he remained until the end of World War II. Later he joined the Army where eventually he served in Vietnam. After accumulating a total of 25 years, he retired in 1968. During his military career he received many medals including the Bronze Star. His hobbies include fishing, bicycle touring, hiking the Florida trail days at a time or taking week long canoe trips with his wife. Surviving are his wife of 62 years Eleanor; sons Robert, Vernon, and Douglas; daughters Lolia and Vurhl Mae; sisters include Barbara, Judy, Linda, and Rozann; brothers Bob (deceased), Laurence, Mike and Phillip; grandchildren David, Debbie, Justin, Rachel, Jace, Brayden; great grandchildren Josh, Caitlyn, Brianna, Emily, Jacob, and Julia. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Quincy, Michigan.
