Obituary of Nancy Jane Foster
Nancy Jane Foster, 84, of Ocala, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 in Ocala. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on September 15, 1926, daughter to the late Fred and Venice (Davis) Six. At the time of her birth her Father was in Argentina working as President of the South American Branch of Swift Meat Co. giving Nancy dual citizenship. In her early adult years she moved to the United States and retained her U.S. citizenship. For many years she worked as a registered and psychiatric nurse and also taught nursing. Nancy also volunteered with Hospice of Marion County. She was instrumental in founding Arnette House and Hope House. She had a great love for dogs. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 51 years, John Paul Foster in 1999. She is survived by her loving daughters, Marian Hope Harper (Carlton "Butch"), of Wauwatosa, WI and Nancy Lynn Keeney (Rafe) of Ocala; grandchildren Abigail Normington-Slay (Jeremy) and Benjamin Harper; 5 great-grandchildren and her brother Robert Henderson Six (Betty) of Denver, CO. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 10:00AM at St. George Anglican Church, 5646 SE 28th St. Ocala with The Right Rev. Father Arthur C. Rushlow officiating.
