Obituary of Henry Doherty

Henry "Hank" Doherty, 77, The Villages, FL, passed away, Thursday, April 14, 2011. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and moved to The Villages from Altamonte Springs in 1997. Mr. Doherty was a retired Auto Manager for UPS and he drove for The Villages Transportation Department. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He attended St. Timothy Catholic Community, was a member of American Legion Post 347 and the Irish American Club. Hank enjoyed working on antique cars, especially Model A, bowling, dogs and listening to Irish Music. He is survived by his wife, Judy, The Villages; sons, James, Paisley, FL, Michael, Apopka, FL, Thomas, Phoenix, AZ, Kevin, Orlando, FL; sister, Margaret Gammardella, The Villages; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, April 25, 2011 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, FL. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at St Timothy Catholic Community, Lady Lake, FL. Inurnment will be 12:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery with full military honors.
