Obituary of James Foy Bellflower

BELLFLOWER, JAMES F. Ocala - James F. Bellflower, 62, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born at Eglin AFB, FL and moved to Ocala as a teenager. He owned and operated Gould Optical in Ocala from 1966 to 2000. He graduated from Ocala High School in 1966 and served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Marion-Dunn Lodge No. 19, F&AM, the Ocala Scottish Rite Bodies and the Ocala Shrine Club. He loved the outdoors especially gardening, fishing and boating and also enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Diane C. Bellflower, his daughter, Leah Champagne, his sons, James Michael Bellflower and Shelby Keith Bellflower all of Ocala, his sister, Sharon Bellflower, his brothers, Gene Donald Bellflower and Charles David Bellflower all of Lakeland, his half-brother, Oscar Kunze of Lithia, his step-son, Todd Guffie of Ocala and his twelve grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-7 PM. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Assn.
