Obituary of Lurline Torres

Torres, Lurline Lillian Lurline L. Torres, 96, of Ocala, passed away at her residence on Saturday, April 16, 2011. Mrs. Torres was a native of New York City, moving to this area from New York in 1989. She retired from Alexander Department Stores in NY after many years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, enjoying nature on her walks, reading, and loved to play Solitaire. Survivors include her daughters, JoAnn Post of Summerfield; Lurline Arco of ME; and Lynn Hughes of NC; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A family memorial service will be held in the Catskills, NY State where her ashes will be dispersed. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34470. Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Belleview.
