Obituary of Glen Shepherd
Ocala - Glen Shepherd, 74, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011. He was born in Bell, FL and was a timber buyer, forester, logger, realtor, and business owner. He was a member of Central Church of Christ in Ocala, and the Board of Realtors and was also a Mason. He enjoyed family reunions, his grandkids and holidays. He also liked fishing, hunting, working cows and looking for real estate and timber deals. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, his son, Glen (Buddy) Shepherd and his wife Annie, his daughter, Robin Shepherd Tighe and her husband Keith, his grandkids, Conner, Cade and Luke Tighe and Avery Brown, all of Ocala, his sisters, Shirley Stalvey and Lera Townsend both of Trenton, Penny Odom of O'Brien and Clyda Andrews of Clearwater and his brothers, Jimmy and Nathan Shepherd of Bell and Eugene Shepherd of Atlanta. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Dawn Shepherd. Funeral services will be on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Central Church of Christ with Colin Williamson, Art Jackson and Dennis Hoar officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park.
