Obituary of Louie Samner McQuaig

Louie Samner McQuaig Ocala: Louie Samner McQuaig, 80, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2011. He was born in Salt Springs, Florida and was a lifelong resident of Ocala. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching country western movies, and yard sales. He was in the U.S. Army Reserves and a veteran of the Korean War, stationed in Germany. He worked for the Ocala Stud Farm for nearly forty-five years and was the ring man for the Ocala Breeder Sales for just as long. He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Mouser and Billie Jo Dood, both of Ocala. As well as his sons, Louie McQuaig of OH, Dennis McQuaig of NC, Victor McQuaig of KY, and Keith McQuaig of WA. He is also survived by his brothers, Carl McQuaig of Ocala, Eugene McQuaig of AL. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ruth McQuaig, a brother and two sisters. A visitation for Louie will be Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. In the chapel at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL. A graveside service 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4 at the Anthony Cemetery in Anthony, FL.
