Butch had the biggest, warmest smile ever, just like Dee. I always enjoyed my conversations with Butch. He was so interesting to talk to and always so hospitable when I visited them. I loved Butch's boat rides on Lake Tellico. Soooo relaxing. Butch will be missed very much. May he rest in eternal peace.

I'm with Diane.. Her email was beautiful. And so true...Grandpa wasn't a big talker, but when he said something, you knew it was genuine. I remember playing with us for long periods of time while living in North Carolina...playing pool, and even laying with us on the ground buidling legos. He was always there for us...making sure we were safe at the lake. Grampa had his very funny moments...I will never forget the time I think I laughed the hardest ever...when you, Gram forgot to pack your clothes...but you remembered your fur coat. It was one of those nights where everyone stayed up together, just talking in the kitchen. Jonny and I were just little, but we were literally rolling, laughing. Grampa is in our thoughts and prayers and will be missed. We love you!

My first memory of Butch was when he arrived on my project in East Liverpool in 1963 to help as engineer and survey party chief --- in a new Pontiac GTO. He was refreshing in his manner and during the summer he took me for a too-fast ride in his speedboat on the Ohio River. He really had the right toys! Later, in his ascending career, my hat went off to him for tackling that Cook Plant which was in a half -completed state as the original contractor had been thrown off the project by the owner. It was the mark of his intelligence that he was able to make sense of it all. But I'll bet nothing he did gave him more satisfaction than the new home built for Dee on Tellico Lake. He will be remembered.

Butch was quite a guy. Many fond memories working with him. When we were at the Cook Plant, he would often take me along as he piloted a small plane around the plant and Lake Michigan. He was always learning - a real thirst for knowledge. I specially remember that big smile he would have when talking about his family or telling a joke.
He will be missed.
