Obituary of Laurse Nichles Blackburn

BLACKBURN, LAURSE NICHLES Mr. Laurse Nichles "Kernie" Blackburn, 72, of Anthony, passed away Friday, May 6th at his residence. Mr. Blackburn was born September 15, 1938 in Pike County, Kentucky. He attended the Southern Home Old Regular Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife Maxine Blackburn of Anthony. Other survivors include: daughter, Madelene (Mike) Donahue of Anthony; son, Wayne (Pam) Blackburn of Anthony; grandson, Branden (Katie) Donahue; two great-granddaughters Peyton and Paige Donahue; brother, Kenneth Blackburn of Reddick; and two nephews, Lonnie and Travis Blackburn. He was preceded in death by his mother Georgia and father Sterling Blackburn and foster parents Elmer and Threecie Maynard. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 11am with a visitation before the service starting at 9am at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services Chapel, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, with Elder Stanley Campbell and Elder Chris Watts officiating. Interment will follow at Millwood Cemetery, Reddick, FL.
