Obituary of Jose Antonio Rodriguez

THE VILLAGES — Jose Antonio Rodriguez, 69, died Sunday, May 15, 2011. Mr. Rodriguez was born in Puerto Rico, and moved to The Villages from Long Island, N.Y., in 2005. He was retired from a transportation service for medical appointments; attended St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Wildwood; enjoyed golf; fishing; softball; a fan of horse racing; avid gym rat; member of the Spanish American Club; Villages Fishing Club; and the 1199 Union in New York. Survivors include his wife, Carmen; sons Walter and Kevin, both of Long Island; sisters Jenny, Gloria, Minerva, all of New York, Tanya, Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service, The Villages. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
