Obituary of Norma Kanoy

The Villages - Norma Kanoy died Friday, May 20, 2011. Mrs. Kanoy was born in Floyd County, VA and moved to The Villages from Williamsburg, VA in 2004. She retired from Management in the wholesale plumbing and heating business. Her hobbies were traveling, dining out, golf, cards, dancing, entertainment and gardening. Survivors include her husband Hal Kanoy, The Villages; 3 daughters, Karen Martin, Wilmington, NC; Sherry Kanoy and Lori Melton both of Richmond, VA; 4 sons, Sam Stutt, N. Augusta, SC; William and Steve Becker both of Richmond, VA; George Becker, Lynchburg, VA; a brother Warren Laing, Salem, VA; and 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 4th at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County, Inc., P.O. Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478-4860.
