Obituary of Robert Russell Iehle

THE VILLAGES — Robert Russell lehle Sr., 71, died Saturday, May 21, 2011. Mr. Iehle was born in Philadelphia, and moved to The Villages from there in 2008. He was a firefighter for 31 years; member of American Legion Post 347; enjoyed golf; all sports venues, especially the Philadelphia Flyers, Phillies, Eagles; and coached little league in all sports for 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; sons, Robert Iehle, Philadelphia, Joseph Iehle, Hatboro, Pa.; daughter, Cheryl Iehle, Bel Air, Md.; stepdaughters Elizabeth Iehle, Lithia, Jennifer Iehle, Philadelphia; stepson, Mark Iehle, Philadelphia; brother, Norman; and six grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Philadelphia Firefighters and Paramedics Survivors Fund, 415 N. 5th St., Philadelphia, PA 19123. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services of The Villages. A gathering will take place one hour prior to the service.
