Obituary of James R. Perkins

THE VILLAGES — James R. Perkins, 72, died Sunday, May 22, 2011. Mr. Perkins was born in Aurora, Ill., moving to The Villages from Oswego, Ill., in 1998. He retired from the manufacturing division of Caterpillar Tractor after 30 years; was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Community, Lady Lake; hobbies included fishing; hunting; golf; and bowling; and he enjoyed trips to Las Vegas; and his luck with the slot machines. Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline; son, David, Naperville, Ill.; daughters Diane Perkins, Montgomery, Ill., Dawn Zentmyer, Oswego; sisters Rosella Assell and Maxine Geihm, both of The Villages; and six grandchildren.
