Obituary of Lois J. Wolcott
Lois Wolcott, (Waterhouse) 87, resident of The Villages, FL and East
Greenwich,RI died Monday, May 23 in Florida after an extended illness.
She was born in Merrimac, MA, daughter of the late Raymond and Mary
Waterhouse.
She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband of 66 years, Gerald
Wolcott. Together they traveled to all 48 continental United States as well
as Hawaii. They also traveled in Europe, Africa and South America. She was a
talented artist, seamstress and homemaker.
Mrs. Wolcott was valedictorian of her Stoneham, MA high school and a
1945 graduate of the University of New Hampshire where she was a member of
Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She also enjoyed playing golf and cards in FL and
RI where she was a long time member of Potowomut Country Club.
In addition to her husband she is survived by 3 children and their
spouses: Susan Thomas and husband Kenneth of Longboat Key, FL and Pekin, IL,
James Wolcott and wife Jocelyn of Concord,NH, and Carol Doleac and husband
Frederick of Hollis,NH. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great
grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11AM, Saturday, May 28,2011 at Hiers-
Baxley Funeral Home, The Villages, FL (352 753-8353).
