Obituary of Donald Charles Martin

Donald C. Martin, 86, of Ocala passed on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Marion County. Born in Chicago, IL on May 26, 1925 he came here from Lombard, IL in 1992. He was a WWII Navy veteran. He retired in 1987 after many years as a lithographer. He was a member of Ocala West United Methodist Church., V.F.W. Post#2801, Villa Park, IL and a 45 year member of Masonic Lodge 1098. His pleasure in retirement included helping others in his community and fishing. Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Virginia (Scanlan) Martin of Ocala; his children Daniel Martin (Barbara), Linda Jean Rohlfing (Gary) and Steven Martin (Laurie); 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and his sister Dolores Plautz (Chuck).A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM in the TimberRidge Chapel of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala, FL.
