Ok, so I know I am always late for everything but Happy Mother's Days. I know your furry grandkids, Lady, Max, Mona and Sassy, would have loved you. Kevin and I were talking about the house yesterday and I was overwhelmed with sorrow for Uncas. He was the one that made it possible for us to buy the house. Don't feel bad, you made it possible for a dream of mine to come true. I was really surprised when the inheritance check came in, I didn't expect one but it was enought to buy a 1991 Jaguar. Oh, you would have loved this vehicle. Sleek, low to the ground, great steering. I probably wouldn't get it back after you took a spin around the block in it. Well, this is it for now. By the way, I am retiring the end of August. I love you always.

Well, Mom; tomorrow is your birthday. This first one in my life without you. Grandparents are gone, Uncle Jack is gone, you are gone. I am the only NY Conner of the Lucy-Harry Clan left. I hope you are having a happy journey. Is it strange for an only child to feel lost and alone; no family to guide her. Grandma was always there when I stumbled and fell; Uncle also gave good sound advice; Your presence was alway there, a phone call away. We never talked much. Hello, How are you, well, I got to go. Always short and sweet. No ideas or concerns shared, just your voice on one end and my ear, listening on the other. I will always listen for your voice wherever I am, just know if you want to talk I am here.

Oh Harriet! You were one of a kind. When you dug up the receipt and contract from AT&T when I sold you your first cell phone...I couldn't believe you had saved that with my name written on it. I treasured the thought that you remembered all these years later and so nice to meet you again in church. I will miss you.~ Linda Lofton

I wish I could hug you one more time, brush cheek to cheek and whisper in your ear 'I love you'. Through all the years of silence you were in my heart, thoughts and prayers every single day. Through all the years of rejection, I hoped someday we could reconcile. Through all the years of wanting a mother to share secrets, to confess failings and reveal hopes, I keep thinking we would have one last time as mother and daughter.
Your silence hurt through the years; your silence of the last year has shattered my heart. I am in limbo not knowing how to feel or what to feel. My one last chance stolen by silence.
I will see you in Heaven when my time comes; that now is my last chance - to hug you, brush cheek to cheek and whisper in your ear that I love you. From the deepest recesses of my heart, Oh, how I love you!

Harriet was a kind and caring lady that always put others needs before her very own. Just days before going home to be with the Lord, she called me from her hospital bed to see if Meadowbrook Academy would be participating in the Project Christmas Child event again this year. She was determined to do the Lord's work until the moment she was called home. She will be missed but never forgotten. ~ Tina Stelogeannis

This woman was one amazing lady! Her heart was for the children, for our soldiers and for anyone she came in contact with. Jesus was her best friend and now she's walking and talking with Him throughout eternity. It doesn't get any better than that!
Love ya Harriet,
Your friend Sara
