Obituary of Byron Bennett Johnson

Johnson, Byron Bennett, 93 Ocala - Byron Bennett Johnson, 93, died October 12, 2011 in Ocala, FL. Byron was born February 26, 1918 to Christian Miers Johnson and Josephine Wilson in Endicott, WA. He was a Ret. Lt. Col in the U.S. Air Force and a B-26 Pilot in WWII. He moved to the Ocala area in 1946, where he was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mr. Johnson was the manager at the Day Break Horse Farm. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, June Johnson; son, Timothy M. Johnson and wife Ruthy of Ocala; daughter, Sara J. Lamb and husband Edwin of Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Timothy B. Johnson, Taylor K. Lamb, and Allison M. Lamb. Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services Chapel, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34470 with Rev. Allen Johnson officiating.
