I loved Michael so much. He glowed and glowed for miles. We used to take the bus from Belmont to Harvard square and hang out there. We laughed constantly. I even met his forever girlfriend Fran back in those days. I'm pretty sure he had a fan club in NYC. Young girls would wear his name on their tshirts and caps. His favorite place in the whole world was a rock bar/club somewhere by the 50's on the west side. He used to perform there. He would take a random flight to say Knoxville and pull out his guitar and play for the whole bar and drive them wild. I'm still sad he's gone. I totally loved Mike what a shining star.

I met Michael back in the early 80's. We actually dated for a bit but that part was incidental compared to the great music he introduced me to. He was so very bright and talented.

Mike was one of the most talented people I ever knew, a great musician, artist, athlete, scholar, and friend. I feel fortunate that he was one of my best friends growing up, I learned a lot from him and had great fun on our many adventures. I have nothing but fond memories of the countless hours I spent at the Turlo house in Belmont - I called so often I can still remember the phone number. He will remain in my memories.

I met Mike in sophomore geometry class at Belmont High, and I can still picture him standing in front of me, brimming with energy and positivity, talking about music. He called me "Ellen Ellen Ellen" in a sing-song tone every time I saw him - in class, in the hall way, out and about in Belmont. He invited me to see a band with him at the Orpheum and I was too intimidated by his hipster coolness to take him up on it. Still regretting it all these years later - he was a genuine, nice person when I knew him way back when. Loss to the planet.

My granddaughter (now 4, Marcella's daughter) nicknamed Michael "Ducky". We never knew why but he went along with it. She loved him. The other day she drew a picture then tied a balloon to it so that he would receive it in Heaven.
