Obituary of Donald Eugene Limp

Donald E. Limp, 68, Of Dunnellon, FL, went to be with his Lord at his home on Sunday, October 23, 2011 under the loving care of his wife and Hospice of Marion County. Born in Danville, IL on April 12, 1943, son to the late Elmer and Pauline (Miller) Limp, he moved here from Tilton, IL in 2006. He retired as CW3 after 41 years with the Army Reserve; having served one tour during Desert Storm. He also retired from General Motors as a machinist in 2006 with 23 years service. He was a Christian. His interests included: Life Member of the V.F.W., American Legion, NRA, Reserve Officers Association, American Motorcycle Association and the Harley Owners Group. Don was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved attending car shows with his 1981 DeLorean. He loved spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren. He was always in the company of his cats. Don is survived by his loving wife Jan of Florida Highlands; son Randy Limp of Tilton, IL; daughter Tabitha (Missy) Squires of Pekin, IL; grandchildren, Aliece Limp of Tilton, IL, Kairi, Kim and Nathan Squires of Pekin, IL; brother Jerry (Ramona) Limp of St. Joseph, IL; sister Mary (Russ) Potter of Bismark, IL. And many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 in the TimberRidge Chapel of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala at 12:00 Noontime. The family will receive their friends from 10:00AM to service time. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with full military honors.
