Claire and family,
I have fond memories of Roger from the days when he was still healthy and visited the farm with your young family. He was always pleasant and a joy to be with. Your girls were so cute. You have my sincere sympathy on your terrible loss. God's peace and blessings be with you.

We are so very sorry to hear about Roger's passing. You, Claire, and Roger are one of the first couples we met after moving to Oak Run 8 years ago. We will always remember Roger for his sunny disposition. Even when we knew he was hurting, he always had a pleasant hello and a smile! Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this time of sorrow. Your neighborhood #1 neighbors. Marilyn and Jack

One of the times I remember Roger most was when I went to Joanne's place before her Senior prom. I think that was the first time our parents met. My father was telling me to stand up straight and Claire was telling Joanne not to sloch. There were pictures and nervousness and laughing...and Roger was obviously very proud of his daughter...as well he should be.

Claire, Louise and Joanne,
I was so sorry to learn of Roger's passing. I fondly remember the many good times we had from driving up to Rock Island, Canada to trips to Comstock's and the many trips up to the farm so that he could court you Claire. I also remember many days visiting him and his dad at the shop and being amazed at the beautiful work they produced. I also remember so often being invited to join the family for supper on Federal Street.
I am sure he will be mightily missed by all his family and many, many friends. May he rest in peace and give carpenty instruction to all those who need it in heaven.

Claire,
Bev et moi sommes vraiment desole d'entendre les tristes nouvelles a propos de Roger. Lui et moi revenir un long chemin.
Roger lived three houses from me on Railroad St. in St. Jay. I was at the house a lot and he was at mine. Later we went on to St. Gabriel School together and became part of the class of 1952. There were 14 of us.
I remember with fondness how his family welcomed me there and also at the home on Federal Street. He took me often to his father's shop where I became a fan of his woodwork.
When we were all in St. J. for the 50th reunion I was able to spend some time with him catching up on our lives, bragging about our kids and grand-kids. It was great.
Nous vous tiendrons et la famille dans nos prieres.

There are so many, I don't know where to begin. Lenny and I have only known Roger and Claire for 8 years but from the beginning a wonderful friendship was formed. I personally think it's because of the sense of humor we 4 have. We couldn't have asked for better neighbors and Roger is going to be missed so much. I especially will miss Roger because.....well......Lenny can't cut a straight line. Any intricate wood work we needed done, Roger never hesitated to help. Even when he wasn't feeling up to par, he was there to help although Lenny would tell him to wait until he felt better. Now my biggest fear is that Lenny is going to make an attempt to cut something and I'm going to be calling EMS because he cut his fingers off.
Roger? If you can read this, import your skill as a craftsman into Lenny's body. Be his Guardian Angel when he decides to use a saw or anything that resembles one.
You'll forever be in our hearts and our prayers and God has recalled one of his finest creations. Thank you for being who you were. We're gonna miss you Rog.
Lenny and Dana Kaczmarek
