Obituary of John Russell Maze

MAZE, JOHN R. Ocala - John R. Maze, 70, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 as a result of a traffic accident. He was born in Kane, PA and moved to Ocala in 1981 from Boliva, after serving there as a missionary for 14 years. He also worked with Mission in China since 1997, taking two trips a year. He graduated from Letourneau University and was a member of Good News Church of Ocala, where he was very involved and loved his Lord. He built over 200 custom homes in Ocala and was involved in real estate for 25 years. He was a modern day "MacGuyver", able to fix anything, loved adventure, loved to travel and loved his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Orlene S. Maze of Ocala, his loving daughter, Heidi Villella of Ocala, his loving sons, Steve Maze of Ocala and Mark Maze of Leesburg, his sisters, Alice Launer of Johnsonburg, PA and Nila Schneider of Warren, PA and his loving grandchildren, Rachel, Nathan, Joey and Jack (John). Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Good News Church, 5600 SE 24th Street, Ocala, FL, with Pastor Mario Villella officiating.
