Obituary of Robert E Courter

Robert E. Courter, 81, of The Villages passed away on October 30, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Courter was a native of Orange, NJ moving to The Villages from Pinellas Park, FL in 2002. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Community. He was retired from the United States Postal Service. He also served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr Courter enjoyed square dancing, and was a member of the Orange Blossom Squares. He also enjoyed wood refinishing, solving jigsaw puzzles and spending time with his family at Disney. Survivors include his wife of 56 years Jennie Courter of The Villages; sons, Scott R.(Lori) Courter of Lawrenceville, GA, Glenn R. Courter of Manahawkin, NJ and Keith R. (Cherub) Courter of Land O' Lakes, FL; brothers Donald Courter, Edward Courter; and sister Peggy Hackett; 1 grandson, 7 granddaughters and 1 great grandson. A funeral mass will be held at 8:30am on November 4, 2011 at St. Timothy Catholic Community. A gathering of family and friends will follow the mass. We will meet at Florida National Cemetery at 12:30pm for permanent placement of the urn. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Cornerstone Hospice.
