Obituary of Jeanne McCollum Green
Green, Jeanne M., 87, of Ocala, FL, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, October 31st in Seffner, FL, at the home of her son, Winston Carpenter and surrounded by her loving family. Jeanne was born on March 4, 1924 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Adelaide "Honey" Stolze and Herman Hoffman, later adopted by Willard Winston "Mac" McCollum. She had been a resident of Ocala since 1969. Jeanne was a longtime devoted member of Meadowbrook Church in Ocala, and lived a life dedicated to the Lord.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles Hoffman, and beloved grandson Jordan Andrew Carpenter. Survivors include son Charles L. Carpenter of Ocala: son and daughter-in-law, Winston and Donna Carpenter of Seffner, FL; grandchildren Charles Joseph Carpenter of Lexington, KY, Anya Carpenter Dean of Inverness, FL, and Caysie Carpenter Romano of Seffner, FL. She also leaves behind a multitude of friends and a loving church family.
Services will be held on Friday, November 4th at 11am at the Hiers-Baxley TimberRidge Chapel with visitation at 10am, and officiated by Pastor Tim Gilligan, Lead Pastor Meadowbrook Church. Interment to follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to Meadowbrook church will be appreciated.
