Obituary of W. Bard Edrington

EDRINGTON, W. Bard Mr. W. Bard Edrington, 90, of Ocala, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Estelle's Hospice House. Born and raised in Osceola, Arkansas, he moved to Marion County in 1961. He served his country with the US Air Force during WW II where he flew B-17 bombers. He was a ham radio operator and used his hobby to help families connect with their servicemen that were overseas. While in Ocala, he managed the electronics department at Mark III Industries. Mr. Edrington was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Nancy Edrington, daughter Sally Boyd, sons Bard Edrington IV and Bob Edrington, grandsons Thad Boyd, Chris Boyd, Snow Boyd, Bard Edrington V, and Cole Edrington, granddaughters Sherry Wolf, Nina Stokes, and Becky Curcio, as well as 14 great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Edrington will be held at 11 AM Monday, November 7, 2011, at Highland Memorial Park, 1515 NE 3rd Street, with Pastor Blaine Whitt officiating.
