Obituary of Jacquelin Carlin

CARLIN, Jacquelin S. Jacquelin S. Carlin, 81, longtime resident of Ocala, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011. Jackie was the 1st girl selected from Tallahassee as a Girls State Representative. She is a Daughter of the American Revolution and Confederacy, member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at FSU, founding member and creator of Booster Stadium, a teacher at Vanguard High School, and was a well known local artist. She is survived by daughters Deborah Dee Carlin, Sandi Woody and Becky Roepe, all of Ocala, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson, and was preceded in death by her husband Phil Carlin. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, November 14, 2011 at Grace Episcopal Church, 409 SE Broadway St., Ocala. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478.
