Obituary of Emma Lee Richey

RICHEY, EMMA LEE Summerfield- Emma Lee Richey (affectionately known as Doll) was born to the late Carrie and William Sweet Harris on July 4, 1934. Preceding her in death were sisters: Elnora Adams, Fannie Mae Savage; brothers, Ambrose Harris, Frank Harris, Robert Harris, Roosevelt Harris, Henry Harris, Charles Harris; husband Willie (Honey) Richey and son Dennis Richey. She retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Entrepreneur. She was a member of Village View Community Church in Summerfield, Florida; actively participating with the following groups: Clothing Connection, Food Pantry and as a Greeter. Emma leaves to cherish her memory four daughters: Verlean Mitchell, Jerldine (Terry) Brock, Brenda (Maxie) Woodruff, Cynthia (Napoleon) Strickland; one son, Willie Richey, Jr., nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brothers Virge Harris and Tom Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, friends and a special group "Wayne and the Golden Girls" (Wayne Worth, Miss Grady, Miss Helen, Miss Mary and Miss Helen Richey). Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County, 3231 SW 34th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34474. Memorial services will be held at Village View Baptist Church, 8585 SE 147th Place, Summerfield, FL 34491 at 12:30 pm, Friday, November 11, 2011.
