Dad, it's been 6 long years and as I lie awake on nights like this I'm curious, as usual. But I know that no matter what no one, nowhere can EVER take my memories of you, our talks our river trips our rides to anywhere just because, our visits and many phone calls just to ask you random questions ( because I needed to hear your voice and wisdom) Lord only knows how much you are missed daily, but one day we will be together again and that will be a joyful day! Memories are all we have for now and I cherish every single one!

The year was 1973, Dad was going to a friend of his in the outskirts of Huntington,In.
He had been drinking that day, Which he loved to do most days.He brought me along with him as I was always excited to go. I must have been 6 or 7 years old. I envyed him in every way. He was Tall and Thin, But had very strong arms. I always wanted muscles like him when I grew up. I always liked the stories he would tell about his time racing stock cars at anderson speedway ( sunvalley speedway back then ). I guess that is why Im a big race fan now. Anyways after we were done visiting and on our way home, He decided to let me drive the back roads until we got out to the highway. Here I was, 6 years old and barely could see over the steering wheel even sitting on his lap. He got me situated and told me to keep the car between the lines. I couldnt reach the gas pedal so he give it the gas and I steered the car all the way to the main highway. I was so excited and was having a blast, He was too! We both were lucky that day that nobody got hurt, But the bonding and memories it created I wouldnt change for the world. I love my Dad very much and I wish I would have spent more time with him when I got older. You never know how much time you have so you can never take it for granted. RIP Dad, I Love Youl.

I remember when I was about twelve years old my mom had just bought me a new pair of shoes, and I went to stay with Granny and my Grandpa. He was teaching me how to drive his camoflage jeep "THE FROG" down some back roads by his house! Well on this day I was doing good driving all by myself and I went to turn in his yard and when I did I pressed the gas instead of the brake and there we go flying in the yard, just about taking out the big oak tree that was there at the time. I was upset, crying and he told me"Its okay we missed the tree and its them damn new shoes fault! Imiss him so much and no matter the situation he always told me it would be okay!!!! I will miss you lots GRANDPA!!!!!!
