Obituary of David Burkart

THE VILLAGES — David S. Burkart, 77, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011. Mr. Burkart was born in Charleston, S.C., and moved here from New York in 1997. He was a retired supervisor, an Episcopalian and a Marine Corps veteran. Survivors include his wife, Ruth E.; daughters Kathleen Sadowy and Kim Black, both of New York.; son, David, New York; sister, Mona Dilworth, South Carolina; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association in memory of the deceased.
