Obituary of Joseph Neil Edward Starks

Joseph Neil Edward Starks Born Aug. 25, 1933 in Chattanooga, TN; died Nov. 30, 2011 in Daytona Beach, FL. Mr. Starks proudly retired from USMC as a 1st Sgt. having served 22 years during Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Marine Corps League of Ocala, The Devil Dogs, Purple Heart Association of Ocala, DAV of Belleview, 1st & 3rd Marine Division. He is survived by his sons, Mark E., and Robert J., both of Ocklawaha, FL, Timothy L. of Fort Myers, FL, and Scott A. of Fond du lac, WI; daughter, Teresa L. Otte of Ocala, FL; sisters, Dorothy Sheahan, and Mary Ammatuna, both of Georgia; brothers, Charles of Georgia, and Thomas of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda J. Starks; and grandson, Joseph Neil Starks. Memorial mass will be held Sat., Dec. 10, 2011 12:00 PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Belleview, FL. Inurnment with honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Emory L. Bennett Memorial VA Nursing Home, 1920 Mason Avenue, Daytona, Beach 32117.
