Obituary of Dominick LaGreca

LaGreca, Dominick Dominick LaGreca was born December 20, 1921 in New York, New York to Christopher and Catherine LaGreca, he died in Ocala. Fl on December 3, 2011. Mr. LaGreca was a Machinist in the Textile Industry and moved to Ocala. Fl from Westbury, LI, NY in 1991. He was a Member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Ocala Moose Club and a Charter Member in the Marion County Chapter of the Sons of Italy. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing the organ and playing on the computer. He was especially proud of his family. Mr. LaGreca never met a stranger and everyone loved and adored him, he was a true "Gentleman". Mr. LaGreca was a veteran of World War II, serving with the US Navy, he was responsible for the Morse Code transmission, that went out to the World, announcing that World War II had just ended. He is Survived by his wife of 38yrs Valencia, 7 Children, 18 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 2 Sisters and Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, he was preceded in death by 2 Children. There will be a Visitation Wednesday December 7, 2011 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with prayers at 7:30PM and last viewing taking place on Thursday December 8, 2011 from 9:00 - 11:00AM both visitations occurring at Hiers Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, Fl 34470. Family has requested in lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to their favorite charity in Mr. Lagreca's memory.
