Obituary of Joan Margaret Hachmeister

Mrs. Joan Hachmeister, 79, of Ocala, FL passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 17, 1932, she was a dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Mrs. Hachmeister made friends easily, enjoyed good conversation, and found pleasure in singing in religious and non-religious choirs over the years. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and a faithful volunteer with Hospice of Marion County. Mrs. Hachmeister is survived by her husband of 59 years, John Hachmeister, Ocala, FL; daughters Sharon Meade, Ocala, FL, Joanne Barry, Westminster, MD; sons, Eric Hachmeister, Sanford, FL, John Hachmeister, Belleair Bluffs, FL, Ron Dorsey, Sefner, FL; brother, Daniel Kilbride, Tallahassee, FL; sister-in-law, Michelle Salmon, Greely, ON; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass, Friday, December 9, 8:30AM, Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Visitation will follow on Friday, 2PM-4PM, Prayer Service, 4PM.
