Obituary of Rita L. Sergio

The Villages - Rita L. Sergio, 93, died at her residence on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. She was born in New York City, NY and moved to this area from Ridgewood, NJ 7 years ago. She was a homemaker and attended St. Timothy Catholic Church where she made beads for missions. She was a member of Four Score and More. Mrs. Sergio is survived by her daughter, Delores (Bill) Germakian, The Villages, FL; sons, Joseph (Adelaide), Bronx, NY, John (Nancy), Nanuet, NY, and Richard (June) Monroe, NY; brother, Thomas O'Brien, Mountainside, NJ; 5 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Sergio. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church at 8:30 am, Saturday, December 10, 2011. Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2011 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Boulevard, The Villages, from 1 - 3 pm with Prayer Service at 2 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Timothy Catholic Church for Blessed Virgin statue or candles for the chapel.
