Obituary of Rudolph Bedford

Bedford, Rudolph J. 76 Ocala - Rudy Bedford, 76, of Ocala, passed away on December 6, 2011. Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, Rudy graduated from Burnham HS, Wheaton College, and received a Master's Degree from the Univ. of Toledo. He moved to Ocala, in 1962. A retired Marion County School principal, whose career of more than 30 years was highlighted by organizing one of the first student exchange programs with the US and USSR. Rudy was an avid and accomplished golfer. He also enjoyed traveling around the world with Anne-Louise, his late wife. FunJoeGames. He is survived by his sons Ted Bedford (Pam) and Andy Bedford (Jodi), daughter Lauren Chenette (Sean), stepdaughters Claire Baine (Edward) and Marianne Gray, 13 grand and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
