Obituary of Kathleen Jenks

Kathleen  (Kay) Jenks, age 95, passed away on April 20, 2024 in The Villages, Florida

She was born on November 9, 1928 in Ballymote (Sligo) Ireland.
She came to the United States at 16 years old.  She was married on November 5, 1949 to Patrick Jenks.
She worked as a waitress in Wall Street.  Kay also worked at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in the surgical unit for 24 years.  Her favorite pass time was the game of Bingo.

Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick.  Also three sisters and one brother all who stayed in Ireland.

Kay is survived by her two children, her daughter, Maureen Flanagan and son, Frederick Jenks and his wife, Donna.

The grandchildren she was so very proud of are Michael Jenks, wife Tara, Jacklyn Jenks and John (JP) Jenks, wife Alicia.  She has 5 great grandchildren who put that magical smile on her face. They are Makenna, Kaylie, Braelynn, Declan and Caden.

There will  be a viewing at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, 3975 Wedgwood Lane, The Villages from 2:00 - 5:00 PM.
There will be an additional viewing at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, New Jersey on Monday, April 29 with a funeral mass at St Francis cathedral on Tuesday, April 30th.
