It’s true what they say, “An Uncle is a double blessing. They love you like a parent and act like a friend”.
Losing someone that has meant so much and has been such a big part of my life from the day I was born is so rough and for me has been incredibly difficult to accept and to put into words.
This is what I know…my two middle names are Richard Hendren and I couldn’t be more proud to be named after such an amazing man.
I couldn’t have asked for a better Uncle. He hands down was the best, most generous and caring person I think I’ve even been blessed to know. Not always easy, often times stubborn, incredibly set in his ways, everyone who knew him loved him and his hilarious sense of humor and incredibly big and loving heart.
Rest in peace Dear Uncle. I am incredibly sad that you are gone but relieved you are no longer in pain. I will always carry you in my heart and the memories we made over the years will last my lifetime. “Love you more today than yesterday but not more than I will tomorrow”.
