Obituary
Obituary of Janet Carolyn Taylor
Janet Rectenwald Taylor, affectionately known to many as Mimi & Grammy, but preferring the name Janet, went home to Jesus on Jan 17, 2024. Born on Aug 19, 1944, Janet, with her unwavering spirit and love, has left an indelible print on the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved Husband of 20 years Mike Taylor; Son, Thomas Claiborne Ennis ( Nita); Son, Matthew Wray Ennis (Vicki); Daughter, Sarah Kerin Williams (Matt); Grandchildren, Ethan, Christian and Taylor; Siblings, Robert, Linda, Judy, Tom, Jerry, Michael, Nancy and Art.
Janet was preceded in death by her Parents, Robert and Audrey Rectenwald; her second husband of 27 years, Thomas Claiborne Ennis, Sr. and Children, Billy, Robin and Brian.
Her enduring love, strength, and wisdom will forever echo in the memories of her family. Her legacy of resilience, grace, and joy will continue to inspire all those whose lives she touched. As the eldest child in her family, she was a second mother, always willing to help with her siblings. She loved all children. Every new baby in the family was sure to get an “Aunt Janet Kiss”. Of course, she loved her children and grandchildren fiercely. She was happiest when they were with her.
Janet became a Grief Recovery Specialist at the age of 65. She helped 100’s of individuals through their loss, using her experience, caring, and Faith in her Lord and Savior.
