I remember my 13th birthday. Uncle Paul was my godfather, but I knew it was Aunt Mary Lou who started my charm bracelet. Here it is 56 years later and I still have it. I loved her laughter, her joy. Hugs of comfort to all of my sweet (Paul and) Mary Lou cousins and your families.

My favorite memory of Aunt Marylou was when we visited them in NY and the cousins went strawberry picking. For how long we were picking and how many kids there were, there were not very many berries. We’d all eaten a few, but the older boys ate a lot… then brushed their teeth. Aunt Marylou checked our teeth for seeds… and punished the older boys. No one could have gone strawberry picking and not eaten at least one berry!
