Chris, Julie and Jaycee,
We offer our condolences on the loss of both of your parents in the past few years and the more recent passing of Gentleman Jim. We first met Jim & Cathy at Mascoutin Golf Club in Berlin, WI in the mid-90's' after Jim retired from AT&T and they settled on the west end of Green Lake, WI. We immediately became close friends with boat rides on Green Lake, rounds of golf on Mascoutin, bike rides and a lot of fun times around central Wisconsin, frequenting local establishments. We were the first of the four couples (Nirschls, Charles, Horans and Klepingers) in the picture below to make it to The Villages, FL with a Mascoutin G.C. and Green Lake connection. A few years later Jim & Cathy stopped post sea cruise to visit us in The Villages. After just a weekend here their hearts were immediately set on moving south to spend their time in the most engaging retirement community in the world. 20+ years of fond memories on the golf courses, north and south, a trip to Las Vegas where Jim started his Elvis impersonation collection, a trip to Key West with the Parrot Heads Trop-Rock Meeting-of-the-Minds where we Trop-Rocked for three days with our toes in the sand and a drink in hand. So many house parties here in The Villages, with the two of them and friends creating lively discussions after a libation or two about life, liberty and the American dream, which we all have had the good fortune to experience. Lives well lived as we will remember them for the rest of our days as one of the most fun and engaging couples to have shared the sunset years of life with the two of us and mutual friends.
