I will always remember Ernie walking into church, looking at me kind of stern, turning so I could see his hand enclosed with a mint, and giving me a big smile. From the time he started, I always expected a mint (and he always had one). Ernie, you left us too soon but I guess the Lord wanted you. You helped lighten up my Saturday's at 4 pm Mass. May you rest in peace.
