Harvey J. Poole

Harvey J Poole was born on July 16 1932 in Palatka, Florida. He passed away on December 21, 2023 at the age of 91. He was the son of Nellie and Arthur Fletcher. He served in the Army National Guard, the US Navy, and was a twenty year veteran of the US Air Force where he served as a pilot and engineer. He worked as an airline flight engineer for 25 years and was owner of Poole Construction Company. Harvey was a member of Wyomina Park Baptist Church.

Harvey Was predeceased by his wife, Mrs. Nina Poole, and his daughter, Sara Boyd. He is survived by his son in-law, Don Boyd and one grandson, Jonas Boyd, both of Ocala.

Harvey always put family first. He loved to fish and work in his shop. Harvey was the driving force in making his home the neighborhood social center, and was always willing to help people and friends.

Visitation will be at Heirs-Baxley Funeral Home at 11:00 am on January 4 with a service to follow. Burial will immediately follow.
