Obituary of Jeanne Drake Osborne

Jeanne Drake Osborne, 93, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, went to be with our Lord on December 23, 2023. Born in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late Carlyle and Isabelle Drake.

A graduate of Elmira Free Academy, Jeanne married George C. Osborne on July 15, 1950. They were married 71 years when he predeceased her in 2021. A 24-year resident of Canisteo, NY until 1998, Jeanne was residing in Ocala, FL, at the time of her death. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her three brothers, Frederick, Richard, and Carlyle Drake, and her granddaughter, Cathryn Rose Clifford.

She is survived by her three children; Richard (Stacey) Osborne of Prattville, AL, Judith (Bill) Clifford of Hornell, NY, and Jennifer (Bill) Stewart of Ocala, FL; seven grandchildren; Cassandra (Brent) Robertson of Dothan, AL, Cristin (Cody Martin) of Huntsville, AL, Michael (Christen) Osborne of Columbus, OH, Timothy (Kelsey) Osborne of Prattville, AL, Elizabeth Clifford of Durham, NC, Joseph (Monica) Stewart of Ocoee, FL, Brian (Kathy) Stewart of Ocala, FL; five great grandchildren.

A special thank you to Hospice of Marion County and the staff of the Ted & Diane Brandley Hospice House in Summerfield, FL for the care and support in Jeanne’s final days.

At Jeanne’s request, there will be no services. A private committal in Canisteo, NY will be at the family’s convenience.
