Like many others, I am so fortunate that Gary was my friend. Although I had known him since our Lake Weir HS days, we only became close the last 15 years, and I grew to admire and dearly love him. He was modest, fun, talented, energetic, a smooth dancer, but his overriding attributes were of concern, care and compassion. He often spoke highly and lovingly of his parents, Kae Rae and Phil. He told me he thanked God (he was a strong Christian) every night for having known family love and having had time with his soulmate. Gary was faithful in keeping our LW circle in touch with his theme of "Will the Circle be Unbroken". We have all lost an especially wonderful person.

Regarding Gary, I absolutely cannot omit that he was a man of great courage. I saw it first hand. Plus, I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone, ever.

Gary was the scribe for the L:ake Weir High School class of 1961. He faithfully kept us up-to-date with birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, good news and sad news through emails and ecards. He loved and cared for us deeply and because of this, we became a family and not just classmates. May GOD's Peace which surpasses all understanding, truly embrace and comfort his family during this difficult time. My love, heart, and prayers are with you all.
