Obituary of Joshua Lee Jenkins

Joshua Lee Jenkins of Ocala, Florida was born on July 18, 1976, in Daytona Beach. Florida and passed away on November 24, 2023. 

He worked as an arborist and was a heavy equipment operator. Josh loved fishing and enjoyed the outdoors. He will be missed by family and many friends.

Joshua is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Pat Hughes; paternal grandparents Jesse and Dorothy Jenkins; grandfather, Frank Littleton and aunt Vicki Hughes. 

He is survived by his daughter, Matilyn Jenkins, Williston, Florida; father Dennis Lee (Cindy M.) Jenkins, Ocala, Florida; mother – Patti Jo Cherry, Daytona, Florida; brothers – Dennis Lee Jenkins Jr. (Cindy A Jenkins) Spotsylvania, Virginia, Matthew Ryan Jenkins, Ocala, Florida; sister-Samantha Dawn Shipwash (Corey Shipwash) Ocala, Florida; maternal grandmother- Jody Hughes, Daytona, Florida; grandmother, Sylvia Littleton, Salt Springs, Florida and cousin Douglas Smith, Daytona, Florida. 

A Celebration of Life will be held December 6, 2023 at 12:00 pm, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, 910 E Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, FL 34470, with Bishop Patrick Combs, pastor of The Church of God, officiating.
