Obituary of Robert Ettinger

Robert Cleverly Ettinger, 75, of Ocala, Florida passed away at his home on November 13, 2023. He was born December 27,1947. Robert devoted 50 years of his life to helping others. He started his career in the mid 1970’s and thousands of Marion County citizens were impacted through his work with our county Emergency Medical Systems. His passion for teaching and sharing his vast knowledge impacted hundreds of Central Florida EMT students over the last 20 years. Bob often shared that he had the pleasure of never working a day in his life because he was fortunate to do what he loved every day. He literally lived his passion for teaching and helping students right up to the day of his passing. He was loved, admired, and respected by his colleges and students. Robert is survived by his children Shaylin, Rick, and David. He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob Ettinger and Rosina M. Bratner-Ettinger. A remembrance service for Robert will be held at 1030am on November 30th, 2023 (Thursday) at the Church of the Springs (The Venue) at 5424 SE 58th Ave, Ocala Florida. The service will be followed by a reception at the Local 3169 Union Hall at 1826 North East 2nd Avenue in Ocala.
